Can't remember what we had but it was sure delicious! Mama's menu is extensive and all items are good. Paired our breakfast with some Tito's Lemon Drops & we were set!

Jacob served us and was an AMAZING server. The food was great, but the SERVICE was better. We went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed, checked in on us, and was just a great guy all around. Comfort food at a great price. Great service. Chill and relaxing atmosphere. HB

I've gone to Mama's on 39 a couple times now and both were an amazing experience! The Loaded Biscuit Skillet is hands down the best--highly recommend! I also tried the Chicken and Waffles, which was almost if not just as delicious. One of the great things about Mamas is that although they are a busy place they have a waitlist you can join on Yelp, which made it so easy for our group to get seated as soon as we arrived. The staff was super accommodating. We had a 1-year-old with us, first in a stroller and later in a high chair, and they made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The coffee was really good, and we loved the half hot cocoa/coffee mix--it was the perfect cozy drink. I've also tried their bottomless mimosas before, which is always a good time! Overall, great food, great service, and a great spot for breakfast or brunch. Highly recommend!

Me and my girlfriend always come here because it's the best brunch spot in OC. Our server Eric provided the best service!

We went around 6 and got seated fairly quickly even though the restaurant was looking pretty full. I've went here a few times already, so I've been able to see the recent changes going on and it seems like they are trying to nickel and dime everything. They got rid of their bottomless fries and they used to give you a side of gravy either for free or for a charge of around $2. It depends on who you ask, but as of yesterday, it was $4. The menu prices also increased as well. Despite that being said, the food was really good, especially the garlic fries and the biscuits and gravy. Service was alright.

Mama on 39 is an absolute a must try! The moment you step in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The menu is so cute- it looks like a newspaper, filled with tempting options! I was thoroughly impressed by the portion sizes. The food was not only plentiful but also packed with flavor. I can't recall the name of the items we ordered, but every dish I tried was delicious. To top it off, the service was great. If you are in the area, you must make a stop here to try it out.

Ambiance: Cool local vibe. Very comfortable and shorts and flip flops type of place. Definitely chill. Service: It was a little slow but I'm assuming it due to being a Sunday and full house. Our waitress checked on us a few times so service is important here. Food: I like what I had. I like breakfast sandwiches so chose the Grilled Sourdough Breakfast Melt. This was massive and very fulfilling. They could have adding more aioli but good enough for me!

I've tried Mama's on 39 on a few occasions but it was always for pick up orders. The food was very subpar for my first time. I believe my whole family didn't really enjoy their meals either but we decided to give it another chance and did another take out order. That time was better, I believe I got their cheeseburger sliders with the side of chips. No complaints there! Yesterday was my first time dining in at Mama's, I arrived with my son and husband. We had a short wait but were seated within 5-10 minutes. They did have live entertainment for the night, which was a nice vibe for it only being a Wednesday night. Usually live entertainment is more of a weekend thing but we appreciated it. I will say that the restaurant was pretty loud, not even including the gentleman singing. But louder than a normal restaurant so if you don't like the loud scene then probably skip this place. Our waitress was great! She was very attentive and made sure to check in on us. We did have an issue towards the end of our visit but she was good with handling it. As for food, my son got the I love Lucy mac and Cheetos with the Cheeto dust on the side, my husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I got the burger sliders with 2 pulled pork sliders, 1 cheeseburger slider and 1 Buffalo chicken slider. They did allow for an upgrade of garlic Parmesan fries, which my husband and I gladly upgraded to. My son said he liked his mac and cheese at first but then slowly didn't like it (whatever that means in 9 year old talk haha). I did try a bite and will say that it wasn't as cheesy as it looked so I understood why he didn't want to take it home after only eating half the meal. My husband said he liked the pulled pork sandwich and the garlic Parmesan fries so that was a win! He's not too picky when it comes to food though. As for me, I did enjoy the sliders but the cheeseburger one was very dry. It only had the meat patty and cheese, no other toppings. Same thing for the Buffalo chicken slider. It would be nice if there was some kind of sauce or condiment to go with the sliders. Nonetheless, I did enjoy them but they could have been better. They did forget that i upgraded my fries to garlic Parmesan and only sent out regular salted fries. But our waitress was great and had it fixed right away! Just a short wait and I got a fresh side of garlic fries. Very hot but very delicious! Both my husband and I really liked their strawberry lemonade as well. It actually tasted like a gummy worm to me but I wasn't complaining, I loved it! One of the only negatives during our experience was the wait time for ice cream. We all wanted ice cream for dessert but for whatever reason it took a good 15-20 minutes to arrive. So much so that our waitress said she had to scoop it herself since they were taking so long. She did give an extra scoop for us all so I was very appreciative of that! But definitely wasn't too happy with waiting that long for simple ice cream. Overall we spent around $100 for two adults and a child. All got main course meals and ice cream for dessert. I do think their prices are a bit high but that's what you get in this economy and especially in OC! I did enjoy the vibe of the restaurant though and the food isn't bad. Just pricey!
